Past BUCF Events
BUCF prides itself on the diversity and standard of our events. Due to our close relationship with local conservative assosciations and interaction with wider national conservative movements, we have been able to enable our members to attend events further afield such as the Bruges Gorup 20th Anniversary Dinner in 2008 with Margaret Thatcher and Norman Tebbit. Closer to home however we ensure that our events are tailored to both students and young professionals, from formal dinners and drinks to casual pool tournaments at the pub or football matches on the university astro-turfs. Below is a snapshot of some of the events we have held over the years...

BUCF President Dan O’Doherty (Pictured) joined a host of Euro Sceptics at an event at the Grovesnor House Hotel in Lond to mark the 20th anniversary of Lady Thatcher’s (pictured) speech to the College of Europe in which she warned of excessive European influence.
BUCF Drinks Event – October 2008
BUCF held its first ’student’ event of the term with a drinks evening at the Bristol Pear in Selly Oak. Edgbaston PPC Deirdre Alden, David Fazakerley and Councillor Fergus Robinson came along to show their support. The Local Assosciation kindly funded the event.
